Move over, Ms L!

Hi all, wondering why you are looking at this jumbled up page? This is due to the fact that Facebook didn't like our url since it starts with wog, so we have been forced to move the blog. This was some time ago, and we have placed a script which would automatically send you to our new location. Obviously, this hasn't worked for all of you, since we have just finished moderating some of your comments which appeared on this site recently, and not on our new (and improved!) site. So what we're saying is head on over to our new site, and update your bookmarks!

Three songs from Sir Paul

Paul McCartney closed the Children In Need concert at London's Royal Albert Hall last night, performing "Back in the USSR", "Get Back" and "Hey Jude". The closer had an all-star lineup of the acts who had been performing that night. The british media had their knickers in a twist about a possible reunion between former "Take That" singer Robbie Williams and Take That. This didn't happen, the two acts played separate sets, but Williams and former arch enemy Gary Barlow from Take That were finally joining in together during the finale (see photo above). Barlow was the man responsible for the concert, and he wanted to have Sir Paul as the closing act. McCartney obliged - after all it was a good cause and his band was tight, having just finished a US tour and are currently rehearsing for a tour of Europe. Other performers last night included Muse (who performed two songs before making a dash across London for their gig at the O2 Arena), Cheryl Cole, former X Factor winner Leona Lewis, Dame Shirley Bassey, Dizzee Rascal, Katherine Jenkins, Annie Lennox and Lily Allen. The concert, or highlights from it, will be broadcast on TV by the BBC1 on November 19th at 20.00hrs - that's the night before the main BBC Children In Need Telethon on Friday 20th. Meanwhile, here's an amateur recording of Hey Jude.
