    Was always sorry Geoff Emerick was never interviewed for the Anthology... I'm sure Geoff's memories of Revolver, Pepper and the troubles during The White Album would have made the series even more interesting. Mind you, so would have letting Pete Best finally say his piece, but they didn't do that either....

    Interesting to hear the gents tell their memories. Just a pity Geoff seems to have no time for George Harrison. His book was unkind to George also.

    Geoff Emerick was remix engineer for The Anthology CD's too. His book gave interesting insights in the recording proces of The Beatles. Unfortunately he is very negative of 3/4 of The Beatles. Even Ken Scott thought that was appalling. It gave me a bitter taste after reading his memoir. Too much influence of the ghostwriter?

    Pity Geoff never appreciate the remastering and remixing.

    ...but in the end...Geidd Emerick was an amazing engineer. This is what Giles Martin in many interviews said: "In terms of the drumming, it’s also a tribute to the band’s engineer, Geoff Emerick, because the sound of the drums on this album is just crazy. The drum sound, for instance, on “With A Little Help From My Friends”’ is just amazing. The snare drum sound on “Lovely Rita,” as the kids would say, is sick."

    Pete Best has never said his piece? Hasn't he written, like, three Beatle books and given tons of interviews over the years? He's not exactly Tommy Moore, he's practically a household name!
